The refinishing process chain
A refinish job succeeds or fails step by step. Every step has its own failure mode, and its own abrasive. Pick the step you are on.
1 · Paint removal — Get the old coating off without burning it, loading the disc or digging into the panel.

2 · Body filler sanding — Shape the filler flat, keep the panel edges sharp, and stop the abrasive loading up.

3 · Primer sanding — Level the primer without cutting through, and leave a scratch pattern the topcoat can actually cover.

4 · Clear coat polishing — Take out nibs and orange peel without burning through the clear, and finish without swirls.

5 · Spot repair — Fix a small area and blend it so the repair cannot be found under raking light.

“Why does my abrasive load up, burn, or leave scratches?”
Most of these are process causes rather than product causes. We work through them with you before we quote anything.

- We recommend the format, the backing and the grit progression, and we say so if your current setup is already correct.
- Samples go out for a trial in your shop.
- If the trial holds, we quote MOQ, lead time, packaging and terms.
We are a supplier of grinding and surface-finishing consumables. We do not advertise a range we cannot ship.
